Chartered Financial Planner
Peter is a Chartered Financial Planner which is awarded by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). Becoming Chartered is seen as the gold standard of the profession.
Financial advisers that hold Chartered Financial Planner status are considered to be the most experienced and qualified in the profession. Peter has passed a range of specialist qualifications in trusts, taxation, investments
and financial planning.
Being Chartered benefits you in three key ways:
- Expertise: To attain the Chartered Financial Planner status, Peter must demonstrate the highest levels of technical knowledge and competence through professional qualifications.
- Continuous development: To maintain the Chartered Financial Planner status, that knowledge must be continually maintained and updated.
- Ethical conduct: Peter’s Chartered status means he must adhere to a specific Code of Ethics enforced through disciplinary sanctions.
Fellow of the Personal Finance Society (PFS) (PFS is part of the Chartered Insurance Institute)
Fellowship is the highest level of membership of the Chartered Insurance Institute – to achieve this means Peter has passed additional exams over and above what is needed to become Chartered. It shows that he has attained and maintained the most prestigious level of professional achievement.
Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments (CISI)
Attaining an individual charter with the CISI requires a continuous demonstration of knowledge, skills and behaviour. Through a combination of qualifications and a consistent record of continuing professional development (CPD), a member can become chartered.
Individually chartered members will need to abide by the Royal charter, bye-laws, regulations, and uphold the Institute’s high standards as published in its Professional Code.
